Short, fitted, V-neck black velvet dress. The velvet fabric is a thick, non-stretch suiting fabric. The design of this dress features gorgeous gold buttons placed in a similar manner to a double-breasted blazer/coat. We love the funky and edgy design which is very similar to the styles of a lot of Nairobian ladies. We named this dress NAIROBAE which is a term used by Kenyans to refer to the capital city Nairobi. NAIROBAE reminds us of the vibrant night life in Nairobi. NAIROBAE is part of our MAHALI collection, a collection that is dedicated to celebrating some of our founder’s favorite places in Africa. MAHALI means “Places” in Swahili.
