Taking its creative inspiration from the lifestyle of the Afar people, the WAWI 2021 bag collection was developed in collaboration with two artists; Micheal Tsegaye and Isabel Tesfazghi. The Afar society represents a vivid example of the many African cultures passing through the turbulence of globalization while resiliently struggling to maintain their indigenous identities. Designed by Isabel Tesfazghi, the patterns accompanying the photograph stand for dynamic movements and spiritual connectivity.
